TEMPORARY CLOSURE FROM THU 5 NOV

Following the UK Government’s recent announcement, The Ultimate Picture Palace will be temporarily closed from Thursday 5th November.

Firstly, we want to thank everyone who has purchased tickets, memberships, and vouchers since we re-opened in September. It has been a strange couple of months, but we have loved having so many of you back through our doors and watching films on our screen once again. The support we have received throughout this year has been incredible and every pound you’ve spent with us has ensured that not only do we — your local cinema — survive this difficult time, but also helps keep our staff, local suppliers, independent filmmakers and producers in business. Thank you.

Secondly, if you have already purchased tickets for a screening taking place from this Thursday, we will be in touch this week to arrange a refund and/or credit note.

Lastly, we would like to remind you that we still have screenings taking place this week before Thursday’s lockdown, including: Rose Glass’s brilliantly creepy debut SAINT MAUD; offbeat British drama starring Sally Hawkins ETERNAL BEAUTY; and Carl Theodor Dreyer’s 1932 black-and-white horror classic VAMPYR. You can still purchase UPP Memberships and Gift Vouchers online if you want to continue to support the cinema during this latest closure.

We looking forward to welcoming you back when we re-open again. We will be back!

All the best from the UPP’s Staff & Volunteers
