We know that many of you film-lovers can’t wait to get back to the cinema! We also know that many of you want to know what we’re doing to make the big-screen experience as safe as possible. Here’s what you need to know…

Online booking and allocated seating
With a much-reduced capacity, we strongly recommend booking ahead for all our screenings.
When booking online, you’ll notice that we now have allocated seating. We have designed a seating plan which accommodates single seats, double seats, triple seats, and even a quadruple! Please select a seating group that matches the number of bookings in your party. We have also blocked out every other row to allow social distancing. Your seat number will be detailed on your booking confirmation email, and if you struggle to find your seat please ask a member of staff to assist you.

When completing your booking, you will be asked to supply us with contact details for the purposes of NHS Track and Trace.

Attending as a group
If you are attending a screening as a group, please book your seats in a single transaction, this will ensure that you can sit together and that we can sell all of the tickets available at our reduced capacity venue.

Pre-booked ticket holders
Please show your e-ticket (on either a tablet or smartphone) or print-out ticket to the member of staff in the Box Office or the volunteer steward at the door.

Non-ticket holders
If you haven’t pre-booked, and the screening hasn’t sold out, you can still purchase tickets at the Box Office. The member of staff will ask you to select an allocated seat. Please use contactless payment where possible.

Social distancing
Please observe social distancing while queuing to purchase tickets or to enter the venue.

Please sanitise your hands as you enter using the hand sanitising station in the cinema’s foyer.

Entering the building
If you want to purchase food and drink from our bar, please turn left as you enter the building and queue using the floor markings. Otherwise, follow the arrows straight ahead and go directly to your allocated seat.

Social distancing
Please observe social distancing when queuing at the box office and when moving around our auditorium. If you are queuing for the bar, please use the floor markings to allow ample space between customers.

Our bathrooms are also operating on a one-in-one-out basis. We have put a lock on the entrance to each bathroom (the very first door you go through) to ensure only one person at a time can enter. If the door is locked, please wait using the floor markings to adhere to social distance guidelines.

Safety screens
We have installed perspex screens at the box office and the bar to help reduce contact between staff and customers.

Face coverings
Guidelines provided by Public Health England state that all customers are required to wear a face-covering during your visit to the cinema. You are able to remove this to consume food and drink. If you forget yours we will be happy to supply you with one.

We have installed hand sanitiser stations at the entrance, please use this as you enter the building. There are additional hand sanitiser stations at the bar, and at the front of the auditorium. We have also removed all self-service elements at our bar (milk, sugar, etc).

Air filtration
For your safety, our air ducts pump in fresh air from outside. If you get cold, please speak to a member of staff who will happily adjust the heating for you.

We have also recently purchased two air filtration units thanks to a safety grant awarded to us by the BFI. These units are hospital-grade air filtration devices that extract and kill 99.97% of all airborne bacteria (including coronavirus).

Contactless payment
We encourage all customers to use contactless payment at our bar.

Film times
Due to our reduced capacity, we have reduced the time that the bar is open before the film starts from 30mins to 20mins.

Please leave any used mugs or glass bottles in your seat cupholder for the UPP Staff to clear away safely. Take away any other litter with you and use the bin in the foyer as you exit the venue. Make sure you give your fellow film lovers plenty of space as you exit the cinema.

If you have any questions about any of the above information, please do not hesitate to get ask a member of staff during your visit or email us at:
